Only a few hours after Roseanne Barr added racist comments to her Twitter, the cable-star’s show “Roseanne” was dropped by ABC.
Roseanne Barr’s tweet stated that Obama’s African American, Iran-born aide is like the “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.”
ABC spokesperson released a statement last Tuesday stating that the network would not be creating a second season of the show.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” Dungey told Fox News.
“I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me — my joke was in bad taste,” Roseanne tweeted.
